Im just writing this to express my own...ANGER! I dont expect anyone to read this LONG vent! lol
Yesterday was
soo nice outside, so Jason decides were gonna take a drive on his new
Harley (did i mention he bought a brand new 09
Harley?) were gonna drive it up to Fast Eddie's which is like a really cool diner/burger place. We leave at 9:30... remember this number (
lol). It is about an hour and a half drive from our house. Okay now I know how much of a NO NO that long of a drive is on a bike!
OMG My back is
killllllling me from like "hunching" over and hanging on to him. Anyway, we take off
every things fine... About an hour or so into our drive his bike starts like "stuttering" and when it does this ALL power is lost, the speedometer goes down to 0, the clock turns off I mean its OFF. Okay, so we stop and get gas (
haha its obviously not that because having no gas
wouldn't cause us to lose power). Okay get back on the highway and were good to go...NOT it shuts off again.
Im squeezing Jason as tight as I can (its scary going from 70mph to nothing you get jerked around) and trying to wave ALL the traffic behind us around me. Okay so were coasting and he gets it to start and were good to go.... Okay so a minute passes and we get to a stoplight (stoplights become our enemies this day) The bike DIES.
I'm waving everyone around and the thing will not start. We push it to the side of the road and sit there staring at the damn thing for 10 minutes not knowing what the heck to do we know NOTHING about bikes (he just got this thing 2 weeks ago). THANK GOD 2 biker boys stop and try to help but really just point us in the direction of the nearest
Harley shop. The one guy (who was in his truck) actually offered to follow us there in case it died again while we were in the middle of the road. It starts (yippee) and were on our way again... We see a stoplight and he turns around and looks at me and were both like "DAMN please turn green, please turn green" does it? NOPE! The damn thing dies and we get pushed to the parking lot that was right there. At this point
I'm like "Jason,
didn't you get roadside assistance with this thing?" YES!! He did! So he calls and guess what? He
didn't have his card with him with his policy # on him so they
couldn't help us!!!!!!!!!! what? Are you kidding me? They could have looked it up by his name or something,
couldn't they? ASSHOLES! So we sit there for about an hour calling people telling them to look up phone numbers for towing places around us
cuz we have NO CLUE where we are. Okay now its about 2:00pm (we should have been there and home by now). We decide we'll just call that
Harley place we were headed to and see if they can tow us to their shop. NOPE! They
dont "do" that. Jason at least gets directions from them so that if we get this thing started we'll head in that direction. About 30 minutes later it STARTS!!!!! Okay so were heading towards this
Harley shop. With stop lights literally every 1/2 mile I swear. It dies at every single one of them, we pull over sit for a minute then start this bad boy up again and head for the next stop light....this cycle continues over and over for the next
ohhhhh id say 10 miles. Then we both start to think we've gone to far, we pull over and call them and tell them what street were at and yes of course!
We've gone too far. We turn around, continue the cycle then look to our left and see the street were supposed to turn onto... YES!!! But... damn!!!! Its a huge, huge hill.
Ummm are you kidding we make it half way up, and the thing is done. Literally
wouldn't even make a noise when he tried to start it. So we sit on the side of the road, I start to cry because its 4pm its going to start getting dark and I have NO CLUE where were at. He calls numerous tow companies and 2 of them say okay we'll call you back with a quote.
UMMM! Hello, we
don't need a quote we need someone here to get us!! So at this point Jason is ripping of the seat and plastic things on the side of the bike and its just a mess. Trying to see anything that is not connected because its obviously an electrical problem and come on he's an ELECTRICIAN!
That's all i kept saying and it was so out of line because he works on houses, not bikes!
haha So this whippersnapper old man on a LUXURY bike-seriously i wanted to steal his seats after sitting on ours all day-stops (i realized on this trip,
Harley ppl are actually
sooo nice) almost everyone on a bike stopped and asked if we were okay) and says you guys need some help? At the same time I hear Jason yell "
OMG are you kidding me?" He found the loose wire and
apparently it was just sitting there clear as day unscrewed. The old whippersnapper (seriously this guy was probably 75 and jumping and running around like an 18 yr old!) says my house is just a couple blocks down let me go grab you a wrench and you should be good to go! YES!!!!!!!!!! thank you old man! So we stop and get Taco bell -after all this Fast Eddie's was closed and were were starving. And were on our way home and my back is killing me, I really think its gonna snap or something I mean the pain from being on that bike all day leaning over to hang on to him was EXCRUCIATING. About an hour in
I'm crying my eyes out, tears blowing in the wind,
I'm in so much pain. So now we have to stop at every exit we see for me to take a break,
cuz if not I was going to have to go to the hospital. Seriously. When i see my house I cry
cuz I thought i would never see it again!
haha And did you remember that number that I told you to remember? 9:30 am when we left? Well we got home at 7:30 pm. 10 HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! of pure pain, madness, sadness, and bitchiness. So we drove all that way to go to Taco Bell and to break my back.
If you made it through this, i love you (
haha) I really, really, needed to get this out to someone!!!!
I'm off to the chiropractor.....
lol
